Production ready modules

Over the last 25 years,  we’ve helped hundreds of projects – maybe including one a little like yours – to get to market quickly and cost-effectively based on a production-ready module.

With a module, the OS porting and complex hardware design is already taken care of. You just need a simple custom baseboard and an application, and you’re done.

What type of module do I need?solder-down module

It sounds obvious, but the choice of processor should come first. If you’re using a microcontroller, then you probably don’t need a module at all, as most are easy to design in. Most module customers are using an Application Processor (e.g. NXP i.MX, STMicro ST32MP1/2 etc.), usually running Linux. More specialist applications, such as autonomous robotics, may need a more powerful Automotive Processor (e.g. NXP S32G), or a Network Processor, or a PC module/board.

Application Processors traditionally come on SODIMM modules, but these days most customers are using Solder-Down Modules, which offer a range of advantages.
