Low-power fanless industrial PC with Apollo Lake

Twice as powerful as previous Atom-class processors, Intel Apollo Lake combines performance and low-power, permitting small footprint fanless operation thanks to a dual or quad-core x5-E3930 or x7-E3940/50. The ECD700-AL is a Windows 10-ready tiny, embedded industrial PC system with huge processing power, capable of playing multiple video streams and driving multiple graphical and touch screen displays. The ECD700-AL is perfect for a broad range of  embedded and industrial PC applications.

As well as a broad range of storage options thanks to onboard eMMC, plus an internal 2.5″ drive bay as well as mSATA, miniPCIe and M.2 slots, the ECD700-AL combines 2 or 4GB of DDR3L onboard with a SODIMM slot for maximum flexibility.

There are 4x COM ports, one of which may be repurposed as 8 bits of GPIO, 2 or 4 GB Ethernet ports, 2 or 4 USB 3.0 ports,  and HDMI/Displayport plus VGA (or second DP) output.

VESA and wall mounting kits are available, and a full industrial version is rated to -40C making it suitable for outdoor and industrial applications.

This product can be supplied with Windows 10 IoT Enterprise “Entry”, with a licence cost under £40, while preserving full Windows 10 functionality.

The ECD700-AL is a small, rugged unit with soldered down memory. It is ideal for all industrial, embedded and automotive applications, whether running Linux or Windows. The low power consumption lends itself to space-limited environments, and so this unit is also ideal for high-end signage and point-of-service applications, including dual-screen.

Thanks to its modem and Wi-Fi capabilities, the ECD700-AL is well-suited to IoT applications and is Azure IoT certified.
