miriacĀ® MPX-S32G274A system-on-module
Secure 4 + 3 core vehicle computing solution
Designed in Germany by our partner MicroSys, the miriac MPX-S32G274A module is the ideal solution for safe and secure highly networked vehicle processing, based on NXP’s S32G2 processor, which offers:
- 4 ARM Cortex-A53 cores and 3 ARM Cortex-M7 cores including lockstep support
- Comprehensive connectivity including 18x CAN FD + dedicated protocol engine, FlexRay, LIN, SPI, Ethernet with TSN, PCI Express, USB and I²C
- Hardware Security Engine for secure boot and accelerated security services
The miriac MPX-S32G274A SoM allows OEMs to integrate the processor in low or medium volume, or NPI applications, bypassing the significant time and cost penalty associated with SoC integration, by providing ready-made hardware with associated BSPs, initially for Linux, and with others such as QNX and VXWorks in development. A simple customer baseboard – developed by the customer or by us – is all that is required to complete the project. For highly network-intensive applications such as software-defined vehicle zonal processing, Layerscape LS and LX modules can expand networking capacity.
miriac MPX-S32G273A is a 314 pin SODIMM SoM, measuring 82mm x 50mm, and pin-compatible with its soon-to-be-released S32G399A sister module. 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM is complemented by up to 32GB eMMC. There are 3x RGMII Ethernet ports and 1x SGMII at 2.5GBs. The module operates from a single 6-36v supply and is available in both commercial and full industrial (-40C to +85C) temperature grades.
Two development kits are available – one “basic”, and another with the facility to accommodate Hailo AI cards. See the Development Kits tab below for further details.
Software support includes Linux as standard, with other BSPs including QNX and VXWorks on request.

NXP processors offer secure boot, which potentially allows the user to secure the device against code modification, while preserving the ability to update. This is achieved by programming public keys into the device, against which the private-key signed image and data are validated. We offer secure boot programming during manufacture to enable customers to easily secure their device.
