Low-cost SoM with STMicro’s versatile STM32MP235
27mm solder-down SoM offers dual ARM Cortex-A35, NPU, VPU and GPU
The new QSMP-23 is a 27mm x 27mm QFN Style solder-down system-on-module with STMicro STM32MP235C processor. Dual ARM Cortex-A35 processors clocked at 1.2GHz are complemented by a 400MHz ARM Cortex-M33 MCU, a 0.6 TOPS NPU for AI/ML tasks, dual MIPI-CSI camera inputs and a powerful GPU as well as an HD 60fps video pipeline. The QSMP-23 module adds 1GB LPDDR4 RAM, 4GB eMMC and power management, integrated on a QFN-footprint PCB with excellent EMC, thermal and cost optimisations. The module is square, with a height of 2.6mm, and requires a single 3.3v supply. A full industrial operating temperature range of -40C to +85C is supported.
A wide range of interfaces is supported including dual USB 2.0 (with on-module PHYs), and dual Gb Ethernet. Other connectivity includes 3x UART, 3x I2C, 2x SPI, PWM, SAI and 2x CAN.
Advanced security features support security functions for IoT and industrial applications, ready for a CRA-compliant system implementation.
The QSMP-23 comes with a dedicated Yocto Scarthgap build, providing mainline Linux kernel, with full sources and toolchain supplied as well as extensive documentation.

Because the TRITON-TX modules are manufactured in a high-quality small-batch production facility within the EU, there are never problems with manufacturing standards or with supply. If you order 100 modules and we don’t have them in stock, we will make them. Often, cheap modules are produced in large batches by volume-oriented contract manufacturers in the Far East, and once they are gone, they are gone.


The STM32MP157C processor features secure boot capability which potentially allows the user to secure the device against code modification, while preserving the ability to update. This is achieved by programming public keys into the device, against which the private-key signed image and data are validated. We offer secure boot programming during manufacture to enable customers to easily secure their device.
