COM Express mini modules (84mm x 55mm) with Apollo Lake E3900 Atom
AL9A3 Type 10 COM Express industrial temperature production-quality modules
The AL9A3 module family based on the tiny (84 x 55mm) COM Express Mini form-factor are powered by 6th-generation Intel Atom E3900 “Apollo Lake” processors – SoC Atoms with outstanding multimedia performance – including x7-E3950, x5-E3940, x5-E3930 as well as the pin-compatible Pentium N4200 and Celeron N3350. Family devices include both dual and quad core variants with a range of TDP extending from 6W-12W. The E3900 processors are available in full industrial temperature spec. Versions are available with SSD (AL9A3) or eMMC (AL9A2) memory fitted to the board.
The AL9A3 series COM Express boards run Windows 10, including Windows 10 IoT Enterprise in the low-cost “Entry” SKU, as well as Debian 8, CentOS 7, Ubuntu 15.10 and Yocto 2.0 Linux distributions, and also QNX 7.0
4GB or 8GB of onboard 1600MHz single or dual-channel DDR3L RAM is supplied as standard.
The full range of COM Express Type 10 connectivity is supported, which includes 4x PCIe, up to 8 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0 ports, dual display: DDI+LVDS or DDI+eDP, Gigabit Ethernet, dual SATA 3.0, dual UART, up to 8 GPIO, SMBus, I2C, SPI and LPC are supported as well as HD Audio.
A heatsink is required in normal fanless applications, and this can be supplied fitted.

A mini-ITX (170mm square) standard carrier board is available – COM100-B, and provides a broad range of connectors, including SATA 3.0, 1x PCIe, 4x minePCIe, SIM Card Socket, Audio Codec, 6x USB Connectors, DisplayPort, LVDS, 8-bit GPIO, LPC, SMBus, I2C, 2 Serial ports, Ethernet. We are able to assist customers wishing to incorporate a custom baseboard in their design.
