Miriac® MPX-LS1046A system-on-module
based on NXP Semiconductors QorIQ LS1046A processor with 4x Cortex A72 cores
Designed in Germany by our partner MicroSys, the MPX-LS1046A SoM is a high performance low energy class server module, combining a quad-core processor with dual 10GbE Ethernet and up to 8 10Gb/s SERDES lanes in total.
- 4 ARM Cortex-A72 cores for 64-bit processing at up to 1.6GHz
- up to 8 GB 64-bit DDR4 ECC RAM at 2100 MT/s
- Wide connectivity including up to 3 PCIe Gen.3, SATA 3.0, 2x 10GbE, 3x USB 3.0
The Miriac MPX-LS1046A SoM allows OEMs to integrate the processor in low or medium volume, or NPI applications, bypassing the significant time and cost penalty associated with SoC integration, by providing ready-made hardware with associated BSPs, initially for Linux, and with others such as QNX and VXWorks in development. A simple customer baseboard – developed by the customer or by us – is all that is required to complete the project. Highly network-intensive applications include servers, medical scanners, software-defined vehicles and many other applications.
Miriac MPX-L1046A is a 314 pin SODIMM SoM, measuring 82mm x 62mm, and pin-compatible with other members of the MicroSys MPX-2 family. The module operates from a single 5-12v supply and is available in both commercial and full industrial (-40C to +85C) temperature grades.
Two development kits are available – one “basic”, and another “Pro” which offers expanded networking including TSN support.See the Development Kits tab below for further details.
Software support includes Linux as standard, with other BSPs including QNX and VXWorks on request.

NXP processors offer secure boot, which potentially allows the user to secure the device against code modification, while preserving the ability to update. This is achieved by programming public keys into the device, against which the private-key signed image and data are validated. We offer secure boot programming during manufacture to enable customers to easily secure their device.
