QNX 8 Board Support Package for QS93 i.MX93 solder-down module
We now offer an in-house developed production-ready BSP which permits use of QNX 8 with the Ka-Ro QS93 system-on-module based on i.MX935.
The BSP provides a complete platform so that you can use the module in a QNX project. QNX 8.0 runs out of the box on the QSBASE93 development kit, and this baseboard is typically replaced with a project specific board (which can be developed by you or via our baseboard design service). The BSP implements most of the QS93 connectivity, including dual Ethernet, Watchdog timer, I2C, SPI, USB, SD Card, UART and GPIO.
QS93 is a solder-down system on module. A SODIMM sister module, the TX93 is also available and supported. The solder-down approach offers advantages in thermal efficiency, EMI considerations, and production efficiency. You can understand more about the trend towards solder-down SoMs here.
The following drivers are included in the full BSP. If the driver you require is missing, please enquire, as development in continuing.
- IPL and U-Boot to boot QNX 8.0 from eMMC flash memory.
- QNX Startup.
- Support for the watchdog timer.
- Support for the real-time clock.
- Serial driver for the on-chip UARTs.
- I2C bus drivers.
- SPI bus drivers.
- SD card/eMMC driver.
- Dual Ethernet support.
- USB host support for serial, mass storage and HID devices.
- Display
- GPIO
- Low-drive mode
This BSP is now available. You can download a functioning binary image for the QSBASE93 development kit below. If you are requesting source access please give a few details of your project and a quotation will be issued.
