Common baseboard for all TRITON-TX modules
The StarterKit-5 provides a complete development environment for TRITON-TX modules, including which are available based on i.MX25, i.MX27, i.MX28, i.MX51 and i.MX53, whether running Linux 2.6/3.0, Windows Embedded CE 6.0 or Windows Embedded Compact 7. The StarterKit-5 ships with the required module and operating system installed and running. The whole system can be powered via USB, or via an external 5v supply.
The development system consists of a baseboard which provides connectors for all the module interfaces. 4 x 50-pin headers provide access to all 200 SODIMM pins, and an additional 40-pin header provides convenient access to the LCD signals. Additional peripherals such as an SGTL5000 audio codec, TSC2007 touchscreen controller and video DAC are supported on the baseboard. An optional 640 x 480 external touch screen is available, and this is particularly useful to Windows CE developers needing an "out-of-the-box" touchscreen capability.
For production purposes, a custom baseboard is created from the supplied StarterKit-5 PDF schematics. We are happy to offer baseboard design and manufacture as a service, as well as checking of a customer's own baseboard design.
Display Family Concept
 As well as the standard 640 x 480 screen, the StarterKit-5 can be purchased with a range of optional, compatible EDT touch-screen TFT displays.
The range of available sizes ranges from 3.5” to 7”, and resolutions include 320 x 240, 480 x 272 and 800 x 480. The StarterKit-5 display parameters can easily be adjusted by the user to accommodate different screen resolutions.
