SwiftGSM consists of a reference design, driver and extension board
that makes it easy to add GSM/GPRS celluar capability to a SwiftModule-based
product.
The extension board is based on a Telit GE864 Quad Band
modem and plugs directly into the extension header of the SwiftKit
development system. This combination means that application development
and testing can proceed while the supplied schematics are used to integrate
the modem functionality into the custom baseboard.
Supplied drivers include Dial-up Network
(DUN) integration, and a Windows CE 6.0 R2 Cellcore RIL (Radio Interface
Layers).
The new SwiftModule
library item adds to existing wireless connectivity options which include
802.11b/g and Bluetooth.
