- Peartree Reference Kit for Intel Atom
Peartree is a Reference Platform and development kit for Intel's ultra-low-power Atom processor family.
Aimed at developers wishing to create their own hardware based on Atom, whether a UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC), MID (Mobile Internet Device), or any other specialist device across a broad range of market sectors, Peartree is a complete reference platform shipping initially with Moblin (Miracle Linux V2.6.24) Linux and later with Microsoft Vista BSPs.
The development platform is equipped with a Wi-Fi module and W-SIM (with connectable 3G module). Additionally, dual mode device development is possible by using Wi-Fi under wireless LAN services and 3G/PHS for external handheld communications. The development platform is equipped with a 5.0" WSVGA/TFT, 1SEG-TV module, camera module and 4Gbyte SSD for entertainment devices, and also supports Bluetooth, and USB2.0. In addition, PEARTREE includes an expansion board to facilitate development and debugging. The expansion board has hardware expansion connectors including Ethernet, USB Host, GPS, HDD, and debug interface.
