EPI/Mentor
- Debugging Tools for ARM, XScale, MIPS
Direct Insight is now a main European sales and support centre for EPI, now part of Mentor Graphics.
Since 1987, EPI has been a leading supplier of advanced hardware and software tools that support development and debug of embedded RISC-based designs. Products currently are available to support the ARM, XScale, Lexra and MIPS architectures and their licensees.
Since the introduction of the Jeeni ARM emulator in 1988, EPI has become synonymous with high-quality ARM and XScale development tools. The Majic series of JTAG probes provide a high-speed hardware interface, with automatically adapting voltage levels and clock speed, and powerful debug facilities including XScale trace, and interfacing to leading software debug tools including EPI's own EDB, Mentor EDGE, Microsoft Platform Builder, GDB, RealView and supporting RTOS environments including Linux, Nucleus, Windows CE, and many others. Board and processor initialization scripts are provided for hundreds of standard development environments, and comprensive Flash programming support is supplied.
