- Altium significantly reduces entry point for 8051 embedded developers
Altium's TASKING 8051 toolset (currently £1280) will be re-priced
at £565 from March 1st
SYDNEY, Australia - March 4, 2002 - Altium Limited (ASX: ALU) is pleased
to announce a significant price reduction for their TASKING 8051 Software
Development Toolsets. From the 1st of March 2002, the regular retail price
for a TASKING 8051 toolset will be reduced from £1280 to just £565 - a
saving of £715. This new pricing emphasises Altium's commitment to providing
every electronic designer and developer with access to the best possible
tools at an affordable price.
"By re-pricing our 8051 toolsets so significantly, we are lowering
the entry point for 8051 embedded developers by providing them with a
fully functional, professional embedded software development toolset for

The TASKING 8051 toolset supports more 8051 variants than any other

Availability
The TASKING 8051 toolset v6.0 (TK008-024) is available for Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP,
as well as PC/Linux and Workstations (Unix). The new £565 pricing becomes
