Press Release - Direct Insight Announces Official Microsoft Training for Windows Embedded Compact 73-day intensive public courses to begin in May 2011 Compact 7 offers embedded developers the opportunity to create devices which make best use of the latest ARM processor architectures, such as ARM Cortex-A8, A9 and A15, and includes support for Symmetric MultiProcessing (SMP). For the first time, developers can use Silverlight for Embedded, Microsoft's new GUI technology to create rich, immersive user interfaces with such features as multi-touch and gesture support. The public courses will run in Oxfordshire on May 3rd, 4th and 5th, and again in July. The training makes extensive use of hands-on labs based on real ARM Cortex-A8 based systems, and is delivered by award-winning Microsoft Embedded Gold Partner Direct Insight's Redmond-trained team. The course fee of £1,195 includes take-away printed materials, and lunch is provided on each day. The new package is also available for delivery on-site by arrangement. More details can be found on Direct Insight's Windows Embedded Compact 7 training page.
