Arrow joins Microsoft, ARM, Direct Insight, UI Centric, Captec, Freescale and Texas Instruments for one-day session at Microsoft’s UK HQ

March 14th, 2011, Oxfordshire: Arrow Electronics has worked with embedded platform specialist Direct Insight to mark the UK launch of Microsoft’s Windows® Embedded Compact 7 with a free briefing session on this latest member of the Windows® Embedded operating system family. The one day session will take place on 29th March 2011 at Microsoft’s UK headquarters in Reading.

Featuring a keynote speech from Microsoft’s EMEA marketing manager for Windows® Embedded , the briefing will include presentations from Direct Insight, ARM, user interface specialist UI Centric, industrial computer system supplier Captec, Freescale Semiconductor and Texas Instruments.

The day will look into both technical and commercial aspects of deploying the new operating system including how to harness the power of the latest ARM processor cores and Windows® Embedded Compact 7 licensing models. Other presentation topics range from implementation of next-generation user interfaces to taking products from concept to market with Compact 7. Many of the participating companies will also be providing a range of demonstrations of the new operating system aimed at different types of application.
