Freescale i.MX51 tools
Freescale's top-of-the-range
ARM device is the i.MX51. Equipped with an ARM Cortex-A8 core running
at 800MHz, a Power VR graphics system with OpenGL ES 2.0, and a dedicated
video codec, the i.MX51 is a versatile microcontroller targetted at multimedia-rich
applications which may include video capture and display and sophisticated
graphics.Power consumption is in the sub 1W handheld class.
As such, iMX51 is an ideal platform for security, medical, point-of-sale
and signage applications, as well as multimedia-rich handheld
devices. Because of the inbuild graphics capability, i.MX51
is an idea platform for applications using Microsoft's Silverlight
Embedded UI and multimedia tool, or Adobe Flash Lite.
i.MX51 is a key target for Direct Insight, and we provide support for
all variants including i.MX512, i.MX513, i.MX514, i.MX515, i.MX516.
Production-ready System-on-Module: TRITON-TX51
Time-to-market and engineering costs can be reduced
by an order of magnitude by designing in a production-ready module
rather than starting a design from scratch. If your production volumes are
thousands, hundreds, or less, the commercial argument for using a SOM is
compelling. By providing good, production-ready board support packages,
as well as minimising the obvious hardware design task, we effectively remove
the larger OS-porting hurdle.
TRITON-TX51 is a 200-pin SODIMM, measuring just 26mm x
68mm. As well as an i.MX515 device, it features 128MB mobile DDR-SDRAM
and 128MB NAND Flash, power management, RTC and USB and Ethernet PHY.
Linux and Windows CE 6.0 BSPs are provided.
JTAG probe with ETM support: Sophia
Systems EJ-SCT
Sophia's EJ-SCT is a powerful, USB-powered probe with full i.MX51 support
including ETM trace. The included Watchpoint debugger has an optional
Platform Builder interface including Windows CE 6.0 hardware-assisted
debug support.
Board Support Package Customisation: Adeneo
Embedded
In conjunction with our partners Adeneo Embedded, we offer BSP services,
including driver development, for both Linux and Windows CE 6.0, based
on the Freescale i.MX51 EVK and other platforms including StarterKit-5.
