Processors - Solutions for Freescale i.MX25 ARM9 based Low-Cost Microcontroller

Freescale's iMX25 features a 400MHz ARM926-EJ core, a wide range of interfaces including USB 2.0 host and OTG, on-chip Ethernet, CAN and touch controllers. Direct Insight offers a range of solutions for i.MX25 including the TRITON production quality module, which provides a time-to-market platform solution for both Linux and Windows CE developers. We also provide JTAG probes from Sophia Systems suitable for debugging with Windows CE 6.0 and Linux/GDB. As a Microsoft Windows Embedded Gold partner, we also offer a broad range of support services for Windows CE users, including platform-specific training, support and consultancy.

TRITON TX25i.MX25 Production-Ready Module: TRITON TX25
The new TX25 module represents the latest addition to our TRITON product family which has provided a rapid route to market for dozens of Windows CE and Linux projects. By designing in a production-quality module rather than the microcontroller itself, many man-months of high-frequency multilayer PCB design, and complex OS porting effort are saved. A production-ready Board Support Package (BSP) and drivers are supplied. This represents a rapid route to market for low and medium-volume products, and a rapid route to pre-production and prototype for consumer projects.
The TRITON TX25 is a tiny (68 x 26mm) production-proven module with Freescale i.MX257, along with 64MB SDRAM and 128MB NAND Flash. This plugs into the StarterKit-5 development system, which provides connectors for the iMX25's extensive on-board peripheral set including 3xRS232, 2xSD Card, USB2.0 OTG and Host, audio, touch, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, SSP, CAN, LCD controller etc, as well as adding interfaces including a Video DAC and AC'97 audio DAC.

The development setup comes with either Windows CE 6.0 or Linux installed, with an optional WVGA touch-screen monitor.

For production, you (or we) design a low-complexity custom baseboard with the necessary connectors, and modify the BSP to suit your interfaces. We can add or modify drivers as required by your application.

ej-debugJTAG probe with ETM support: Sophia Systems EJ-SCT
Sophia's EJ-SCT is a powerful, USB-powered probe with full iMX25 support including ETM trace. The included Watchpoint debugger has an optional Platform Builder interface including Windows CE 6.0 hardware-assisted debug support.
