New 2-day Training for Windows Embedded Standard 7
As an official Microsoft Embedded Training Partner we're pleased to be able to offer a new two-day hands-on course, "Building Embedded Devices with Windows Embedded Standard 7". Based on Windows 7, Microsoft's new operating system offers embedded developers the opportunity to create devices with the latest GUI features including Windows Aero and Touch and Gesture. Standard 7 is a componentized, small footprint version of Windows 7 with special features and a new developer toolset aimed at embedded development. As well as the new OS itself, we extensively cover the new tools, the Interactive Build Wizard and Image Configuration Editor. Windows Embedded Standard 7 differs considerably from Windows Embedded Standard 2009, and its predecessor Windows XP Embedded, and will a must-have for some, while others may choose to stay with 2009. In the course, we also discuss the differences between Microsoft's various x86 operating systems. The public courses will run in Oxfordshire on May 18th/19th, and in Reading on June 29th/30th. The training involves a mixture of presentation, demonstration, and hands-on labs (for which laptops are provided). The course fee of £795 includes take-away printed materials, and lunch is provided on each day. The new package is also available for delivery on-site by arrangement. More details can be found on our Windows Embedded Standard 7 Training page. |
