Direct Insight and Avnet offer Windows Embedded training

"Summer Camp" leads to Microsoft Technical Specialist qualifications

We have partnered with Europe's leading distributor of Mirosoft's Embedded Operating Systems, Avnet Embedded, to deliver hands-on training on Windows CE and Windows Embedded Standard, during multi-day classroom courses to be held in Oxfordshire in August 2009.

The Summer Camp training program will cover Windows Embedded CE 6.0 - Microsoft's componentized, small-footprint, real-time OS - during the first week, via a 3-day intensive hands-on course, followed by an optional 1 day course designed to prepare students for the MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist) exam. The second week will follow a similar pattern, focused on Windows Embedded Standard - Microsoft's embedded version of the desktop OS targeted at the deployment of advanced enterprise devices.

Running at Direct Insight's rural Oxfordshire headquarters, the Summer Camp Windows Embedded training will follow a more informal structure than the company's regular courses. The company has also arranged reasonably-priced local accomodation for students wishing to take the course on a residential basis.
