Sophia Trinitas Platform for TI DM8168

Touch-panel based platform offers Android 2.3 support

A new DM8168 reference platform with 7” 800x480 touch panel and Android 2.3 BSP has been announced by Sophia Systems, and is available in Europe from Direct Insight.

Trinitas is a panel-based alternative to the DM8168 EVM, and ships with Linux or Android BSPs. 1GB of DDR3 RAM is fitted, and a wide range of connectivity is supported including 2 channels of video in (DVI) and out (HDMI) as well as PCIe, SATA, USB and Gigabit Ethernet.

Optional debug packages include Sophia’s EJ-SCT high performance JTAG interface with GDB-interfaced debug capability.

Trinitas with 1.2GHz DM8168 includes full schematics and BOM listings, and is available from October 2011 with Linux support, with Android support available from November – please call for further details.
