OS-Changer from ARC allows RTOS users to go "royalty-free"

Users of VxWorks and pSOS can convert to MQX RTOS

ARC International have introduced the OS-Changer tool, which means that developers wishing to switch to the royalty-free MQX Real Time Operating System (RTOS) can re-use their existing code-base, thereby reducing development cost and time-to-market.

OS-Changer requires hardly any code changes and does not modify any of the scheduler or interrupt handler characteristics, so that the underlying RTOS funtionality and performance are minimally impacted. Since OS-Changer does the conversion during the compile-time, with minimal run-time component, the end-result is high-performance application code optimised for MQX, which means that users don't have to compromise on performance.
