PXA320 boards, JTAG

These solutions, in conjunction with Direct Insight's years of experience as Europe's leading solutions integrator and support specialist for PXA255 and PXA270 micros, are intended to help early adopters of the new processor to achieve rapid time to market despite the steep learning curves that can be associated with adoption of brand new microcontrollers.

Reference Kits based on Sophia's Sandgate III board are already shipping based on pre-production silicon, and these are available with Windows CE support. A Linux BSP is also under development. The Sandgate III features a VGA touch-screen includes full schematics and BSP sources, and an optional EJ-Debug JTAG probe with Platform Builder and GDB interfaces completes the kit.

TRITON-320 modules are available for design-in into low and medium-volume product, and are equipped with production-quality Board Support Packages for Windows Embedded CE 6.0 or Linux. The associated StarterKit-4 development kit affords an out-of-the-box development solution and the supplied schematics provide a starting point for the design of a custom basesboard to complete the module-based development.

Direct Insight can also provide and support Marvell's Software Development Toolsuite for Xscale, which has been updated to support the WMMX2 extended instruction set offered for the first time by PXA320. A plug-in compiler for Platform Builder is also available to provide enhanced multimedia performance for Windows CE based applications.

In addition to these tools, Direct Insight provides training and both hardware and software integration services to users of PXA320 and the mainstream PXA270 microcontroller.
