Versatile In-System Programming Tool from Corelis
ScanExpress Programmer integrates SPI, I2C, JTAG and CPU programming
ScanExpress Programmer, a new universal in-system programming (ISP) tool from Corelis, supports programming of CPLD, FPGA, serial EPROMs and flash memory devices. The new solution supports the most common programming methodologies, including SPI, I2C, JTAG and CPU assisted. Users are now able to use a single software and hardware package to program all the different programmable devices on their target.
ScanExpress Programmer is used for in-system programming of non-volatile memory devices utilizing serial protocols such as SPI, I2C, and JTAG. The tool can program flash memory devices on a board with a working JTAG scan-chain where the pins on the memory device are accessible through the boundary-scan component(s) I/O pins. Furthermore, the tool can program memory devices connected to a CPU using the CPU’s JTAG emulation capabilities to program the flash memory at the theoretical speeds. Additional features of the tool include dumping memory contents to a file, powerful fault detection and diagnostic, and parallel (gang) programming support where devices on multiple boards are programmed and verified in parallel. Utilizing Corelis’ high- performance boundary-scan controllers, test clock (TCK) rates up to 100 MHz are supported.
