New TRITON module plays video on Windows CENew TRITON TX37 based on Freescale i.MX37
The TRITON-TX37 system-on-module is a 200-pin SODIMM format PCB measuring just 26mm x 68mm (1.02" x 2.68") which, in addition to the i.MX37, includes 128MB mobile DDR SDRAM, 128MB NAND Flash, and supporting peripherals including power management and Ethernet controller. Supplied with a Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 Board Support Package and StarterKit-5 development baseboard, the TRITON-TX37 is ready to be designed into low and medium volume applications, or to provide a prototype platform for consumer implementations. Thanks to the Freescale i.MX37 device, which is based on an ARM1176JZF-S core running at up to 532MHz, and includes a dedicated multimedia decoder, and high-spec display controller, the TRITON TX37 is capable of supporting displays up to XGA resolution (1024 x 768). Media playback from MPEG-4, MPEG-2, H263 or H264 is supported at resolutions up to 720 x 572 with Directshow support. Connectors for the wide range of 1.8v interfaces are provided in development via the StarterKit-5 baseboard, including Keypad, SDIO, SSI/AC97/I2S, I2C, LCD interface, UART, 10/100Mbps Ethernet, USB 2.0 Host and OTG. The TRITON-TX37 module operates from a single 3.0 to 5.5v supply. It is anticipated that customers wishing to create an i.MX37-powered consumer product will use the module for prototyping and first production while using our Windows CE expertise to assist in integration. TRITON-TX37 modules are available worldwide from Direct Insight, shipping in early Q2, 2009. For further information please visit our TRITON TX37 page.
