New features and specs for TRITON-TX53

Lower price, higher performance for i.MX53 module

We are pleased to announce a new version of the TRITON-TX53 module ARM Cortex-A8 module, based on up to 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A8, incorporating significant improvements while maintaining hardware and software compatibility with the previous version.

The “base” version of TRITON-TX53 supplied with as standard with the StarterKit-5 development system now uses an industrial temp (-40C/+85C) i.MX537 at 800MHz, with 512MB RAM. This available immediately and is accompanied by a price reduction compared with earlier industrial versions.

Two other types of TRITON-TX53 v3 will available from stock soon: a 1GHz i.MX535 with 512MB RAM, and a 1.2GHz i.MX535 with 1024MB RAM.

An alternate build version of TRITON-TX53 with LVDS and SATA support in place of parallel LCD will also soon be shipping. A special adapter for the StarterKit-5 will also be available to accommodate the variation in pinout.

We continue to enhance the Windows Embedded Compact 7 and Linux 3.x board support packages for this module.
