ARC intros tools, RTOS, stacks for Samsung S3C25xx micros
Development tools complement MQX RTOS and stacks
ARC has introduced a comprehensive software solution including development
tools, RTOS and protocol stacks for Samsung's ARM940T-based S3C25xx communications
processors.
Software support from ARC for the Samsung S3C2500B, S3C2501X, and S3C2510A
processors includes MQX RTOS, RTCS TCP/IP networking stack, IPShield security
software for the on-chip encryption engine, USB device stack, flash file
system, board support packages, and device drivers for the 10/100 Ethernet
MAC and UART. ARC also provides complete embedded development tools, including
the MetaWare C/C++ Compiler, SeeCode Debugger, Instruction Set Simulator
and IDE. Additionally, the Task Awareness Debugging (TAD) feature provides
kernel and networking stack information available in the SeeCode pull-down
menu during real-time debugging sessions. The MQX RTOS, RTCS TCP/IP network
stack and development tools integration gives designers a complete out-of-box
environment delivering a high-quality, interoperable embedded networks
solution.
The Samsung processors are among the most highly configured communications
processors on the market today. On-chip resources include ARM940T at 166MHz,
AAL5 SAR/Utopia L1/2, PCI/Card Bus Host, USB Host, UART, I2C, DES/3DES
engine and 2 x Ethernet MAC.
