Sophia has introduced the first and only real-time in-circuit emulator
for the Intel XScale PXA255 device.
UniSTAC II for PXA255 provides up to 16MB of emulation memory, Flash ROM
direct download capability, 64K frames of real-time full bus trace storage
(including SDRAM), and Coverage / Performance / Profile analysis. Five
trigger points are available with sophisticated triggering options and
trigger data filtering. A test target is provided for downloading and
executing user programs before the user's hardware is available. The ICE
can be connected to the user's target board without removing the target
processor if special ICE connectors are designed into the board layout.
The UniSTAC II host interface can be operated via USB or LAN.
At the same time, Sophia has announced a new PXA255 version of the Sandgate
development board, which includes a colour LCD touch-panel and Windows
CE.NET support.
