Platform Solutions for Windows Embedded CE 6.0 and Standard
Direct Insight is a leading provider of platform solutions which enable
adopters of Windows CE and Windows Embedded Standard to achieve rapid time-to
market even where experience of Windows Embedded is limited or zero. By
building a product on production ready modules or SBCs, or using a reference
design as a template for a high-volume product, OEMs can avoid the need
for BSP development and also reduce the complexity of hardware design.
Our
business is all about enabling our customers' own engineering teams to
step up to using CE 6.0 or Windows Embedded Standard, and to that end
we offer access to the Platform Builder and Target Designer toolkits along
with Visual Studio in the form of an MSDN Subscription, which provides
a comprehensive collection of complementary tools. We also provide in
depth training courses and comprehensive project support. Services are
available - for example to create customer-specific drivers for a particular
special interface - but the emphasis is always on customer enablement.
Our
products and services include Microsoft tools (supplied as MSDN Subscriptions),
complete Development Kits (DVKs), Reference Platforms, Production-Ready
Modules, JTAG probes, as well as custom board and baseboard development.

Microsoft Development Tools via MSDN Subscription
We are authorised
to offer development tools for Windows CE and Windows Embedded
Standard via MSDN Subscription. This includes Visual Studio, Platform
Builder, Target Designer and other tools for WES development. Technical
support incidents and priority support in MSDN forums is also included.
We also offer complete packages including MSDN Subscription and classroom
training. In addition, for Windows CE users we offer the useful
Entrek Codesnitch code analysis tool. |

Reference Designs and BSPs
Reference Kits are complete implementations supplied with all BSP sources and hardware
schematics, as well as a fully working example with touch screen.
We specialise in providing reference solutions for Marvell processors including PXA270,
PXA310 and PXA320, but also support a broad range of microcontroller
families including most
ARM-based families including Freescale i.MX, Atmel AT91 SAM and others via specific BSPs
We also specialise in camera sensors and drivers for imaging with
Windows CE.

| Real-Time / Soft Control Architecture for Windows
Harness the multiprocessor power of Windows (including Windows 7
and Windows Embedded Standard 7) with IntervalZero RTX 2009 SMP which
allows real-time control and DSP tasks to be scheduled across multiple
available cores, avoiding the need for expensive external hardware
subsystems in a variety of applications, including industrial control,
audio/broadcast, medical and defence.

JTAG probes for CE 6.0 Hardware Assisted Debug
We offer Windows CE 6.0 compatible JTAG probes, providing Hardware
Assisted Debug support with Platform Buidler via eXDI2.
These probes can be invaluable for bootloader development, debugging of targets where KITL is not available (e.g. no Ethernet, or problems with Ethernet driver) and for reflashing of unresponsive targets.
